The Perks of Being a
Wallflower -
December 2012
A book that would somehow
bore a reader coz I honestly felt it but
if you would just look into it, you'll feel more for the character's life.
Charlie was a braniac weird
boy who fell in love with a slutty girl but what's with Charlie? Why was his
life so pathetic and why does he write freak letters to someone whom he doesn't
know personally.
"Charlie, we accept the
love we think we deserve."-BILL
"I just think it's bad
when a boy looks at a girl and thinks that the way he sees the girl is better
than the girl actually is. And I think it's bad when the most honest way a boy
can look at a girl is through a camera."-writer
"I think the idea is
that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice
to share it with other people."-author
There was no problem in his
life. He's good. He's family is good. He's life is good. He's friends are NICE.
But is that all?
Charlie was molested.
He couldn't remember it at
first but then after a series of black outs...the truth was revealed.
Read this. Not really a must
read for teens but good enough for people wishing to understand the movie of
Logan Lerman.
