Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

When I started reading this, I hardly know the genre of the book. Whether it's a love story or suspense and as I read it, I found out that I still can't tell what's the genre of the book. All I know is that it's fictitious enough for me to enjoy reading it.

Clary Morgenstern or Fairchild or Fray (That's too many surnames for one girl) was a 16 year old NORMAL girl who happened to meet an extra hot (-chili?) guy named Jace Lightwood/Wayland/Herondale/Morgenstern(choose your bet). At first, I thought Jace would be the "kontra bida" of the story but it turned out that Jace would be the knight in shining armor with angelic face but not so angelic manners.

City of Bones-visit the place where Silent Brothers reside and take a peek on what's inside Clary's mind.

City of Glass-Oh no! Jace is Clary's brother??? What a news..How can love be so sweet and painful at the same time?

City of Ashes-Valentine is back and he brought someone with him. Who's side would you be? Learn the truth behind Jace's story.

City of Fallen Angels-Angels fall and demons rise and this time greater demons rise. How can Jace fight the demon inside of him and face the angel before him?

City of Lost Angels-How can you save someone who seems happier being a prisoner than being with his family? Is Jace still worth saving and is Sebastian worthy of affection?

City Of Heavenly Fire-Where is Sebastian? Why can't they trace him? Would good triumph over evil? Would it be a happy ending for Jace and Clary?

All the six books kept me up for the whole night when I was on vacation and kept me busy while Im not doing much errands related at work. The twists and turns of the story kept me alive. The forbidden love and the thought of being with the exact opposite of yourself excite me even more. The prurient and mysterious characters made me crave for more outlandish knowledge. Lastly, the author is amazingly witty!

I've read a lot of books..a lot of series..a lot of love stories but this book is simply great making me feel pathetically obsessed with it so I recommend everyone who's reading this blog (if there is..) to read this majestic work of art.

A Kiss in Time

A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn

How do  you imagine true love? How do you see your prince charming? What is your dream kiss?

Talia was a disobedient brat...but very beautiful (as she says) . For almost 16 years she was warned not to touch a spindle but as curious she could possibly she did and poof! Everyone slept.

In the modern time, no one believes in magic. Whenever we hear the word magic, what comes out from our minds are bunnies pulled from a black hat or cards that fly around or missing then you suddenly found it was in your pocket or somewhere else.

We do not hear casting of spells nor mixing a potions, unless otherwise we're watching Harry Potter and the likes.

But one day, in a very detestable and undeniably boring day, someone found an outlandish beauty of a castle and its sleeping subjects (If I was there for real then I might think that they are all a bunch of comatose beings).

He went to the castle and was surprised when he found a gorgeous lady lying and was somewhat like Snow White who needed a kiss to wake up.

He kissed him then she woke up and the story began.

"Who are you?"

The first question he heard from her.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

The Perks of Being a Wallflower -
December 2012

A book that would somehow bore a reader  coz I honestly felt it but if you would just look into it, you'll feel more for the character's life.

Charlie was a braniac weird boy who fell in love with a slutty girl but what's with Charlie? Why was his life so pathetic and why does he write freak letters to someone whom he doesn't know personally.

"Charlie, we accept the love we think we deserve."-BILL

"I just think it's bad when a boy looks at a girl and thinks that the way he sees the girl is better than the girl actually is. And I think it's bad when the most honest way a boy can look at a girl is through a camera."-writer

"I think the idea is that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice to share it with other people."-author

There was no problem in his life. He's good. He's family is good. He's life is good. He's friends are NICE.

But is that all?

Charlie was molested.

He couldn't remember it at first but then after a series of black outs...the truth was revealed.

Read this. Not really a must read for teens but good enough for people wishing to understand the movie of Logan Lerman.

BEASTLY

Woah! It's been a while...and I'm almost gone in blogging world as I forgot my password again! It's not easy when you have a lot of accounts so do not be like me...

Anyway, I got here a book review/description/analysis (whatever you call it). Are you familiar with Beastly? Google it friends and you'll find a wonderful book and a cute movie. Cute because of Alex Pettyfer and yeah I'm still a girl with a weird definition of everything (including cute). Too much for an intro, here is the book:

11/26/2013 -I finished it last year..hehe

BEASTLY by Alex Flinn

"There's more to people than meets the eye"

Likewise, there are more to books than meets the curious eyes of a reader and i'm a victim of book curiosity and my genre today...ROMANCE!

Before the movie, there was a book patterned in the original fairy tale entitled Beauty and the Beast.

Love is never ugly.

Cliche love story? You can say that but perfectly good for hopeless romantic like me. It would teach you that someone's look is only good in the eyes but not always in the heart.

Kyle Kingsbury-the super hot guy who's in a relationship with the super pretty girl in school who suddenly turned into a FREAKY MONSTER (talking about Kyle). Yeah, he's a freak and a monster. Sounds redundant? No. Just analyze the word or read the book and you'll know what I mean.

Lindy-the super geek girl who's into Kyle but not so lucky to get his attention as she is the invisible girl of their school. Kinda a teacher's favorite due to fair amount of literary works she read and the fact that she's the girl in an elite school who's parents are not part of the layman's picture of a happy family.

Together they would beat the BEAST in them and show the world the true BEAUTY of a true LOVE.

Love is in the air? No. It's within you.

Do you love fairy tales? Try out Alex Flinn's books and you will be part of an imaginary world where modern prince and princesses live enjoying the power of the greatest magic of all--LOVE.

Happy reading pals.
